“My brother and I recently moved our 91-year-old Mom into Charter Senior Living of Brookfield, and I can’t say enough about how smoothly the transition went. This was a big change that she dreaded after she had been living in her home for all of her life, but the kindness and care shown by everyone we met made the experience so much easier for her and for our family. From the very beginning, we felt welcomed and supported. While it was a positive experience from everyone we met, I want to express a special thank you to the following members of the Charter team for going above and beyond to help us work out logistics of moving in, as well as helping Mom settle in and feel comfortable. Their thoughtfulness and patience made all the difference! To Jillian and Darlene – you helped make my initial exploratory call (from long distance!) and paperwork process flow seamlessly! Sunshine – your nurse assessment visit with Mom and my brother left them feeling good about the decision to choose Charter for Mom’s move. Jacob – thank you for your help to my brother with logistics regarding moving in furniture and getting things ready for day one. Romero – what can I say?! You greeted Mom with open arms Day One and your kindness hasn’t stopped! Keith – you made us feel so welcome in the Dining Room, and thank you for finding the coffee ice cream (IYKYK). Sandy – you win the award for getting Mom to attend her first activity and eating in the dining room on her own for the first time, I’m still not sure how you did it but she’s been eating her meals there ever since! We are so grateful for the warm environment and the wonderful staff who clearly care about the residents. Knowing Mom is in such good hands gives us tremendous peace of mind.”

“My aunt has lived at Charter for over eight years. Since her first day, the Charter staff has been absolutely amazing. My aunt has several needs, and no matter what the need is, the staff and management at Charter have made arrangements for her care and support. I have many memories of staff going above and beyond for my aunt, including bringing her flowers on a bad day, getting her involved in activities, and frequent hugs. My aunt lives in a spacious room that is cleaned regularly. The food at Charter is also fabulous. It’s not what would be expected at a senior living community – it is on another level! The staff and management at Charter are consistently available, approachable, kind, efficient and knowledgeable. Jim, Don, Tracey, Aida, Desiree, and countless others are simply wonderful. I cannot say enough positive things about Charter Senior Living! I will forever be grateful to Charter and that my aunt is a part of their family.”

“What’s helpful is that Charter is very good about developing relationships with not only the residents but with families as well. My mother was very reluctant to move, but Don Franks worked diligently to make connections and make her feel more comfortable in her transition. We were able to get a small grant from Charter, which assisted her in moving, and there is no way we could have done that without them. My mom has had health issues, and they have done a great job in helping her. I cannot say enough good things about them, and I would highly recommend them to others looking for senior living.”

“Recently, we transitioned my mom from her trilevel home to a one-bedroom apartment at Charter. Of all the communities that we visited in Brookfield, this one went out of their way to answer our questions, conduct multiple visits, including home visits to my mom, and do everything possible to make the move a positive experience. All the staff members are friendly and have worked to develop a relationship with her. The residents truly care for each other like a neighborhood. Don Franks is a genuine, caring soul and will go to great lengths to accommodate your loved one. Tracy Chapman, the health and wellness coordinator, has bent over backward to address my mom’s health issues and ensure she is well cared for. ”

“My mom has moved into Charter Senior Living of Brookfield. I chose this community because it was convenient to where I work, they had all the care that we needed, the folks were just extraordinarily nice, and they actually negotiated on the room cost with me a bit. The staff members are the nicest bunch of people I’ve ever dealt with. The community is clean and well maintained. Her room is a nice, comfortable room. They have multiple activity areas and dining rooms, so even though my mom doesn’t get around very well, she doesn’t have to travel very far to where she’s going to eat. They have two television areas, and throughout the day, they engage residents in different ways. They have a small in-house library, church services on Sundays, and Bible study a couple of nights a week. They even have a beauty parlor and barbershop. The staff has been kind and very helpful to my mom. ”
